Last week I've been invited to watch Ipanema's 2011 Summer Collection Fashion Show at the SMX Convention is Pasay City. From work, I've managed to commute to the venue just in time for the show. My husband together with our son Leon came in late, therefore I had to watch the show on my own, somehow though I enjoyed because I had the change to practice my picture-taking skills.
After the show, I walked to the nearby mall, the SM Mall of Asia where I was to meet M and Leon.
Since it was dinner time, we decided to eat at the mall and on our way we came across a carousel ride which Leon got delightfully excited on. From a distance, M promised him a ride after having our dinner to which Leon nodded to. But when we were near it, he ran towards it and tried to push himself through the queue of children who were about to ride the carousel.
M, without hesitation, allowed me to buy tickets so that our Leon can ride the carousel. This wasn't his first time though but then he was still little that time maybe he can't remember riding it.

After the ride, he obediently followed us towards where we were having our dinner. At the food court of SM MOA, we found Tom Yum Thai, a Thai fast food, which both M and I are craving for for years...the last time we ate Thai food was some 4 years ago at the Thai canteen found in the vicinity of UP Diliman campus.
And guess what we ate...Tom Yum Soup!!! though again, not as good as that of Mommy's from the Thai canteen.
Every Sunday, my family together with the nannies normally attend mass at midday, then we proceed to my in-laws for lunch, at 3 in the afternoon, we go off either strolling in malls or in parks. Most often than not we dine out before going home to avoid the hassle of preparing dinner. Last Sunday after all the activities and instead of dining in the restaurants or fast food which is quite tiring in the palate already, we decided to buy from RODIC's a local diner, a carinderia in Filipino tongue.
Rodic's prepares authentic Pinoy dishes such as tapsilog, tocilog, longsilog to name a few and some Pinoy viands as well. This time, my husband decided to buy the tapsilog, which I can really vouch to be yummy. Tapsilog by the way is coined from 3 Filipino words - Tapa, Sinangag and Itlog. English translation for tapsilog is fried rice topped with beef jerky and fried egg.
Never heard of Rodic's? It's located at the shopping center of the University of the Philippines in Diliman with branches at the nearby U.P. Village and at Fairview, both in Quezon City.
