Mommy Moments: White

White is such a pure color, it signifies cleanliness. That's why it's quite difficult to wear white considering our active lifestyle.

For the kids, most of their house clothes are dominated by the color white, basically for practical reason that it does not absorb to
o much heat especially in tropical countries such as ours.

Mommy Moments: Purple

This week's color theme is PURPLE and here's my share to mommy moments

It was easy for my to look for a photo of Maia in purple. Her Lola Baby's 2011 Christmas gift to her was a pair of purple blouse and leggings. Here she's wearing the ensemble during Alex Gabriel's Christening.
While it took me a while to look for a photo of Leon, here's the closest that I've got :D He is playing with Maia's puzzle mat...

Mommy Moments: Green!

Green is somehow our family's color...being an advocate of the environment and the refreshing feeling it gives us when we see the green grass or the green leaves...it's soothing in the eyes.

It's one of Leon's favorite colors too...aside from blue and red

Here's Leon with some green in his clothes and
his green and black shoes.
While Ronald is stepping on some green stump.

Maia with the green miniature hot air balloon we bought at the
Hot Air Balloon Festival in Clarkfield Pampanga.

While I'm wearing a green miniskirt, lol!

Dear Daddy M

Dear Daddy M,

Thank you for being our Daddy! Thank you for working hard to fulfill your promise of providing for our family. Thank you for the love and caring you give us all. We always pray for your good health and safety in work. Thank you for the playtime you spend with us even if you come home tired from work. Thank you for being so patient with Leon's naughtiness and for being Maia's favorite person in the whole world.

We love you and we'll always will!

Hugs and kisses,
Hahai, Leon & Maia

Mommy Moments: New Family Photo

Another year has passed and it was a good one for us. It was the year the our family became complete. As often mentioned in my blogs, Maia's arrival completed us.

Since Christmas season was the time for family gatherings, it is also a good venue for having a family photo shot. Since then, I make sure that we have a photo as a family in whatever occasion there is.

Here are some of our latest Family Pictures:

Wedding of M's cousin

Christmas 2010
New Year's Eve

Christening of Alex Gabriel
(son of M's high school friend)

Sunday Dinner at A' Veneto
Pajama night in January

and the most recent,
during UST's Quadricentennial Anniversary

Mommy Moments: New Achievements

As a mother, we will always be proud with our child's achievements no matter how simple it may be.

Leon is turning 4 this coming March and I'm proud to say that in
spite his age, he already knows to tidy his stuff, I can see the start of an OC person in him...not really sure though if this will turn out okay when he's grown up...What makes me very proud lately is the fact that he is able to do chores on his own initiative. On his third straight day today, he sweeps our front yard. He does this every morning after leading Daddy off to work. And he's having fun doing it. Such an OC guys because even the smallest piece of rubbish will not slip his sweeping ability. We never forced him to do the chore, he's doing it on his own will. One day he just went out, got the broom and dustpan and started sweeping. Leon also is now patient with his sister Maia, he likes caring for her, such as the simple gesture of holding his sister's feeding bottle while Maia's drinking her milk.
Maia on the other hand is already in the stage that she realizes the use of her e
xtremities, she already holds her own feeding bottle and knows how to clap her hands. She's has learned to stand on her own and is now learning to walk. One great achievement of Maia is that she already can say mamam and dada...that's me and Daddy! plus she also knows how to kiss Mommy already when instructed to do so. Isn't that heartwarming? :)

As for me, I've started segregating our old stuff --- clothes, shoes and toys --- and was able to donate a few already. There's still plenty to do since my main goal is for us to have enough storage space for the new ones.

Mommy Moments: New Stuff (P365/13)

Christmas is a time of giving and receiving. We had fun giving out our gifts to families and friend as well as receiving our share from those who remembered. The kids, especially Leon had fun and was excited throughout the season about the gifts they received. From the first day that he received a gift, he didn't missed a day visiting the Christmas tree to check on it. Up until midnight, he just cannot contain his excitement.

Here are some shots during Christmas eve when it was time to open g
ifts...
a baseball set he won when he joined a game
during the Christmas party at his daddy's office

all Ben10 gift items: truck, laser watch and a pair of green sneakers
which he likewise attributed to being Ben10 ;D

Anything that has wheels he still finds amusing

Activity books and educational toys

Plus clothes, accessories and pillows...

Maia on the other hand is still young to be able to express her joys but here are some of the stuff she received and some pictures of joy
Clothes

Stuffed toys

books and educational toys and
more of the baby stuff :D

So that's it...can't wait for the next Christmas to arrive. But for now, we're on the task of giving away some of the old stuff that's no longer of use to the kids. Beyond sharing, another reason is for us to have a little more space for these new stuff.
